Basic Procedure of Goods Inspection and Quarantine Entry 2010 China Expo

1. Put on records
Expo organizers should put on records to inspection and quarantine administrations with related documents. Inspection and quarantine administrations accept the record of the inspection units of the approved inspection.
2. Approval
Entry animals and their products, plant seeds, seedlings and breeding materials and special items should be approved by Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
3. Inspection
Before Expo goods entry, the owner or agent should declare for inspection to entry-exit inspection and quarantine administrations with related documents.
4. Inspection and Quarantine
For unqualified goods after inspection and quarantine will be regarded as returned, destroyed, or harmless treated. Make necessary quarantine treatment for entry goods and packing, which come from infected areas, may spread infectious diseases, animal and plant diseases or with poisonous and harmful substance. Qualified goods after inspection and quarantine will be released.
5. Supervision
Temporarily entry goods, Expo exhibits and other products in Expo legally listed in the range of inspection and quarantine should be supervised by inspection and quarantine administrations, and reshipped out of China within schedule. Related goods and products will be supervised by inspection and quarantine administrations according to Chinese laws and regulations.
6. Canceling
After Expo, the owner or agent should make written explanation to inspection and quarantine administrations about the treatment of temporarily entry goods and make canceling procedures.
