1. Applicable scope
Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies covered by standards GB 7251.1- GB 7251.5, GB/T 15576, including low-voltage switchgear, busbar trunking system(busways), distribution board, assemblies for construction sites and cable distribution cabinets (CDCs), reactive power compensation equipments, etc.
2. Principle of defining application unit
Products of the same applicant, same manufacturer, same factory, same model, same structure, same rated short-time withstand current class and corresponding rated current shall be defined into same application units (different types of components of main circuit control switching capacitors in reactive power compensation equipments shall be defined into different application units).
Products of the same model, same rated short-time withstand current class (see Table 1) shall be defined into same application units, rules for scope of corresponding rated current in same application units see Table 1.

Notes:
(1) Rated current means rated current of incoming line (unit).
(2) In Table 1, upper limit value of Rated current (In) corresponding to Rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is recommended value, which can be increased by the applicant. But the applicant shall offer samples for certification, the technical parameters in CCC certificate shall be identical with those of certified products.
(3) If rated current of certified products is lower than lower limit value of Rated current (In) (Table 1), sample machine of this rated current shall be offered according to the specification and quantity regulated by the sample of this application unit for short circuit withstand strength test.
