China Inspection and Certification Centre for Architectural Material was set up in Beijing

Face to the situation that foreign inspection and certification organizations is about to come to domestic market, on November 19, a multiple authoritative inspection organization with the independently status of a legal person which was combined by several national inspection organizations and laboratories of building materials industry--China Inspection and Certification Centre for Architectural Material was set up at the People Great Hall in Beijing.

State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council vice-director Wangruixiang, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine deputy director general Zhishuping, State Certification and Accreditation Administration director Sundawei, China National Building Material Group Corporation president Songzhiping have entered the ceremony for the centre.

China Building Materials Inspection and Certification Centre achieved the strong union of laboratories of building materials industry by the means of combination, keeps the development of scale and professionalization with the service concept of 'Scientific, impartial, authorized'. China Building Materials Inspection and Certification Centre was set up on the base of China Building Materials Academy and its subordinate National Research Centre of Testing Techniques for building materials, National Cement Quality Supervision and Inspection Centre, China National Safety Glass & Quartz Glass Supervision and Inspection Centre, China Safety Glass Certification Centre, technology of 10 industry grade quality inspection centers and top inspection and certification laboratories.

It is reported that the centre will focus on 'material and engineering inspection, building materials and management system certification, inspection apparatus research /development/producing', develop the inspection work for building main material and decoration material, safety glass material, kiln refractory material and construction project; China Compulsory Certification and ISO9001 Quality Management System for safety glass and ceramic tile; the study, development, producing, calibration, sale and such related exyended services for inspection apparatus. The centre will still be in charge of quality supervision random inspection, product certification and such works assigned by government department for building materials, guide the building materials market to develop correctly.
