Compulsory Product CCC Certification Requirements for Products of Adaptors,Cord Extension Sets(Announcement No.3 2016)
Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes products are in Compulsory Product Certification Catalog.Recently,with the issuance of Standard "Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes—Part 2-5:Particular requirements for adaptors"(GB 2099.3-2015) and "Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes—Part 2-7:Particular requirements for cord extension sets"(2099.7-2015),which will be implemented on Apr.14,2017. Now we make announcement of relevant standards for compulsory product certification of adaptors and cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies) in plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes,modification of the certification implementing scope and relevant requirements as follows:
1.Add GB 2099.3 and GB 2099.7 in relevant standards for compulsory product certification of plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes reference in Implementation Rules of Compulsory Product Certification Circuit Breakers and Appliances and Devices for Protection and Connection (Appliance Accessories)(No.CNCA-C02-01:2014).
Where relevant standards for compulsory product certification of adaptors and cord extension sets will be upgraded from Standard GB 2099.1,GB1002/GB1003(hereinafter referred to as Standard of old edition) to Standard GB 2099.1,GB 2099.7 and GB1002/GB1003,respectively.Add cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies) with build-up sockets(called tiny five sockets) of national standards in the compulsory product certification implementation scope,which including cord extension assemblies in Standard GB2099.1.The adaptor products are products which have been incorporated recently,excluding plugs and sockets with international standard,for compulsory product certification.The certification shall be according to the standards GB 2099.1,GB 2099.3 and GB1002/GB1003,respectively.
2.For cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies),which have obtained compulsory product certification per standard of old edition,the certificate holders shall make application to the designated certification body for alterating per standard of new edition.The requirement of new certification application and alteration application per standard of new edition shall refer to "Announcement of Relevant Requirements for Standard Revision for Compulsory Product Certification"(Announcement No.6 2016 by CNCA).
3.For the products like adaptors (excluding the plugs and sockets with international standards),and cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies) with build-up sockets of national standards,which have been incorporated in the scope of compulsory product certification.Those products must not be either transported and sold out of the factory,or imported and used at other operations,unless they have obtained the certificates for compulsory product certification and labeled with the marks of compulsory product certification.
4.The laboratories shall improve the comprehensive inspection capability in accordance with " Announcement of Further Deepening the Reform Measures for the Approval System Designated by Implementation Body of Compulsory Product Certification"(Announcement No.34 2015 by CNCA).They may undertake the relevant inspection business only after acquiring the recognition of above products and relevant standards.
