Destruction of Imported Electro-mechanical Devices for No China Compulsory Certification-Compulsory Certification to be Noted when Making Enterprise Procurement

One special printer had been found without applying China Compulsory Certification marks as required recently when Jiangsu Changshu Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was examining a batch of imported electro-mechanical devices from Germany.After communicating with the import company,they cannot be rectified or returned,the staffs of the Changshu Bureau had destroyed this printer in accordance with Rules for Management of Compulsory Product Certification,which was the first time for this bureau to destroy the electro-mechanical devices without China Compulsory Certification marks since this year.
China Compulsory Certification is Compulsory Product Certification System in China.Printers are belong to the products of compulsory product certification in electro-mechanical category.Therefore,products without China Compulsory Certification marks which have not been certified or type tested shall not be entered into the market.The inspection and quarantine department reminds relevant enterprises to improve the study of China Compulsory Certification system for this reason,and requires the foreign suppliers to strict in the requirements of China Compulsory Certification for the products among the links as signing purchase contract,etc.,to prevent the consequences of delay,return,destruction,etc.resulting from breaching of rules after customs declaration for the cargos,causing unnecessary economic losses.
