China CCC Product Certification Implementation in 2017 for Products with USB Charging Interfaces
Requirements on China CCC product certification for products with USB charging interfaces are clarified as follows:
1.China CCC product certification catalogue has included "power adapters(including chargers/discharges) supported by information technology devices" and "power adapters(including chargers/discharges) supported by audio&video devices" clearly.
2.For "household and similar use appliances,lighting appliances,plugs and sockets(for household and similar use)" products,which are within China CCC product certification catalogue,if they have functions of power adapters supported by information technology devices or audio&video devices,as well as with charging interfaces(eg.USB charging interfaces,etc.),they shall belong to multifunctional products both with two or more functions within China CCC product certification catalogue.Products of this category shall also meet the requirements on Implementation Rules on China CCC Product Certification for information technology devices or audio&video devices,apart from meeting the requirements on household and similar use appliances,lighting appliances,switches for circuit,installation protective and connection devices(accessories).
3.In consideration of the above multifunctional products are new product forms,part of notified bodies,local quality inspection departments and manufacturing enterprises have not recognized the requirements on China CCC product certification for products of this category.Most of them just perform implementation according to the requirements on Implementation Rules on China CCC product certification for household and similar use appliances,lighting appliances,switches for circuit,installation protective and connection devices(accessories).Relevant manufacturing enterprises shall have completed supplementary certification for China CCC product certification according to the requirements on Implementation Rules on China CCC Product Certification for information technology devices or audio&video devices before Dec.31,2016.
Since Jan.1,2017,above multifunctional products will not be transported out of factory,sold,imported to China or used in other business operations without obtaining China CCC certification.
