Since Apr.14,2017 CCC Certification Implementation Standard of New Edition for Cord Extension Sets(Cord Extension Assemblies)
To relevant enterprises:
Standard of GB 2099.7-2015 "Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes-Part 2-7:Particular requirements for cord extension sets" has been issued on Oct.13,2015,which will be implemented on Apr.14,2017.According to "CNCA on Compulsory Product CCC Certification Requirements for Products of Adaptors,Cord Extension Sets(Announcement No.3 2016)",relevant standards for compulsory product certification of cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies) will be upgraded from Standard GB 2099.1,GB1002/GB1003(hereinafter referred to as Standard of old edition) to Standard GB 2099.1,GB 2099.7 and GB1002/GB1003(hereinafter referred to as Standard of new edition),respectively.Now we make certain statement as of CCC certification products for cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies) execute Standard of new edition as follows:
1.From the date of announcement to Apr.13,2017,when the applicants applying for CCC certification for cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies) which apply to Standard of old edition,he or she can select either Standard of New Edition or Standard of Old Edition for CCC certification application voluntarily.Since Apr.14,2017,Standard of New Edition shall be used for CCC certification,and the CCC certification certificates of Standard of New Edition shall be issued accordingly.
For cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies) with build-up sockets(called tiny five sockets) of national standards,which have been incorporated recently in the China compulsory product certification implementation scope,Standard of New Edition shall be used for CCC certification,and compulsory product certification certificates shall be obtained before Apr.14,2017.
2.For those products which has obtained "Certificate for China Compulsory Product Certificaiton" of Standard of Old Edition,the certificate holders shall submit the application of upgrading certificates from Standard of Old Edition to Standard of New Edition after the implementing of Standard of New Edition and prior to the next follow-up inspection.Inspection for the differences test items existing between Standard of New Edition and Standard of Old Edition shall be accepted.The validation of products of Standard of New Edition will be completed,and the CCC certification certificates of Standard of New Edition will be issued accordingly.The upgrading of CCC certification certificates will be completed on Apr.14,2018.If the upgrading of CCC certification certificates are not to be finished within this date,the certificates will be suspended.If the upgrading of CCC certification certificates remain undone before Jul.14,2018,the certificates of Standard of Old Edition will be withdrawn.
3.The upgrading of CCC certification certificates are not required for those certificated products which have been transported out of the factory,put into the markets and will not be produced any more.
4.Product technical information as follows shall be included,but not limited on the CCC certification certificates:model,nominal current/power,rated voltage,property of power supply,cross section of wiring.
5.Statement as of CCC certification products for cord extension sets(cord extension assemblies) execute Standard of new edition in this announcement shall not discharge the obligation that relevant products shall meet relevant rules in Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China.
